Bring the bride. Bring the bottle. We will bring the boat, the captain, the cooler, the playlist hookup, the floaties, and the calmest stretch of water in Austin. Two hours, four, or all day. Your bachelorette weekend has one perfect afternoon waiting on Lake Austin.
This is a private, captained charter. Your group, your music, your pace. No party-cove chaos. No double-booking with strangers. Just your people on a boat in the prettiest stretch of the Hill Country.
Why Lake Austin beats Lake Travis for bachelorettes
Lake Travis gets the Instagram fame, but the bachelorettes who have done both come back to Lake Austin every time. Here is why.
- Calm water. Lake Austin is a no-wake zone in most stretches. Glass-calm conditions mean perfect photos and floaty time that does not feel like an ab workout.
- Constant level. No exposed shoreline, no rocks where a beach used to be. The lake looks the same every season.
- Ten minutes from downtown. Lake Travis is thirty-plus from the bachelorette house. Saves an hour of group-Uber chaos.
- Photos that look like a vacation. Cypress trees, limestone cliffs, hidden coves. Way prettier than the brown-bluff Travis shots.
- Private. Actually private. Travis Party Cove is a hundred boats deep on a Saturday. Lake Austin has dozens of quiet coves and your captain knows the best ones.
What is included on every bachelorette charter
- A local, Coast Guard-certified captain who knows every photo spot and swim cove
- Pontoon or charter boat with full shade canopy, Bluetooth sound system, and built-in cooler
- Iced cooler stocked with water and a few drinks; you BYOB anything extra
- Floating lily pad and tube for the swim cove stop
- Fuel, life jackets, swim ladder, and all safety gear
- Pickup at any public dock, including Walsh Boat Landing, Loop 360, Emma Long, Mary Quinlan, or your bachelorette rental dock
The price you see is the price you pay. No 20% captain gratuity tacked on at the end like the bigger party-boat companies. No surprise fuel charges. No hidden dock fees.
The bachelorette day, as we usually run it
Most groups go four hours. Here is what a typical afternoon looks like.
- Hour 1. We pick you up at the dock with the cooler loaded and the speaker connected. Music goes on, drinks go out, group photos in front of the cypress trees.
- Hour 2. Cruise past the Hill Country mansions of Little Venice. Captain points out the lake houses, the cliff jumps, the celebrity homes. Bride sits up front, veil flying.
- Hour 3. Anchor in a quiet swim cove. Lily pad out, floaties in the water. Swim, snack, drink, refresh the playlist.
- Hour 4. Sunset cruise back. Golden hour on the limestone bluffs. Last round of photos with Pennybacker Bridge in silhouette behind you.
That is the default. Your captain will rearrange anything you want.
Bring whatever makes it yours
- BYOB. Mimosa kits, seltzer, wine, beer, tequila. Anything except glass bottles and red wine, both of which we ask you to skip (glass on boats is a no, and red wine stains the fabric).
- Bring a custom playlist. The Bluetooth hookup works with any phone.
- Custom decorations. Sashes, banners, balloons, the veil. We can help hang them before pickup.
- Photographer. Bring one along, or ask us for our list of bachelorette-specialist photographers in Austin.
- Food. Snacks, charcuterie, sandwiches all work. Avoid anything that needs reheating.

What guests are saying
“Captain Keaton knew every cove, every cliff jump, every shady spot to anchor for lunch. Easily the best thing we did in Austin.”
Marissa T., Bachelorette, June
“We had three generations on the boat and everyone was happy. Shade for my mom, a slide for the kids, cold beers for me. Perfect day.”
David K., Family reunion, August
Frequently asked
How far in advance should we book?
Spring and summer weekends book out two to four weeks ahead. Fall weekends a week or two. Weekdays are easier. The longer your bride trip is locked in, the sooner you should grab the boat.
Where do we meet the boat?
Any public dock on Lake Austin works: Walsh Boat Landing (8 min from downtown), Loop 360 Boat Ramp under Pennybacker Bridge, Emma Long Park, Mary Quinlan, or your bachelorette rental house dock if it has one. Let us know when you book.
Is BYOB allowed?
Yes. We provide ice and a stocked cooler; you bring whatever else you want. Skip glass bottles (boat safety rule) and red wine (it stains fabric upholstery). Everything else is fair game.
Can we anchor and swim?
Yes. Anchoring in a quiet cove is the highlight of most bachelorette charters. We bring the floating lily pad and tube. Swim, drink, take photos, relax.
Will we be sharing the boat with strangers?
Never. Every charter is private. Your group, our boat, period.
What if it rains?
Weather cancellations get a full refund or free rebooking, your call. We check the forecast the morning of your charter and reach out if it looks dicey.
Can we bring a photographer?
Absolutely. They count as one of your 12 guests. If you want recommendations for Austin-based bachelorette photographers, we have a short list of favorites.
